So, whatz up you guys, my name's Carol, I'm from Brazil, but I live in Garden Valley, California. this will be my second year at Burning Man, fist time was last year, and those were the best 9 days of my entire life! I went with my boyfriend Caton, and that was his 3rd visit to BRC. Unfortunatelly our fellow friends are unable to go this year, and we're looking for some nice burners to join our camp, or let us join theirs. We're looking for a bigger community experience, we can provide some really good shade and dust storm shelter: we're bringing a striped circus tent (yellow and white) that measures 10/10 meters (30/30 feet), we're bringing a trailler that adds up 10 more feet to one of the sides, and 2 couples of old friends are planning on putting up their tents underneath the shade so far. We're arriving on BM, unfortunatelly, only on Tuesday. I am a journalist, and I wrote a pretty special and goosebumpy story about my first experience, that I pretend to share with all burners - I'm gonna edit a daily newspaper, all writers feel welcome to e-mail me @ carolinasouzacalliari@hotmail.com
WEll, I guess that's it for now,
hope to hear from some of you
Keep on rocking!
Peace & Love

Re: Looking for camp buddies...
Wed, July 23, 2008 - 6:38 AMCarol,
We are looking for camp buddies as well. You might consider camping at "Why Clothes Camp" we are located next to "The Elders Camp". We are having a really fun activity this year: "First Monday - Thursday" Nude Bike Ride. It is in the spirit of the "first fridays" that many art districts have in larger cities. Burning Man has some of the best art in the country and we thought what better way to bring about a new sense of art appreciation.
We are hooked up with "The Elders" as I mentioned, and are sort of a offshoot of their camp. Many of "The Elders" are long time burners and have a great shade structure and a daily event called "Brie Bach & Talk" at 4pm. It has become quite a popular event.
Why Clothes has a wonderful "Hot Shower" used by both camps. It was a big hit last year!
If you are interested in knowing more details, email us at: mike@lalagom.net/whyclothes

Re: Looking for camp buddies...
Fri, August 22, 2008 - 3:07 PMHi Carol and Caton:
I am camping solo this year - sleeping in car, no shade structure. Traveling from CT. This will be my 6th year. Everyone else out grew the experience except for me. Either that or I've alienated them. Let me know if you are still looking for camp mates. I'm arriving late wed afternoon. I also write and I'm bringing a book I did for my daughter - its a collection of stories submitted by survivors of sexual assault. I will be placing it in the man. Prior to this I was very connected with the temple. 3 of my stories are under Tales from the Playa. author Green Monkey. they say more about who i am then my tribe page. love and light, Green Monkey
